Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate / design consultation?
The design consultation and estimate are completely free — a specialist measures, goes over styles and materials, and gives you the exact price before anything is built.
How much do custom cabinets cost?
It really depends on the size, the wood and finish, and whether it's new or refaced, so we come measure and give you the exact price up front — and the consultation is free.
How soon / how long does it take?
Custom cabinets are built to order, so lead times usually run a few weeks — the specialist will give you a clear timeline when they measure.
Do you do custom kitchens?
Absolutely — custom kitchen cabinets are our specialty. The specialist will measure, help you design it, and give you a free quote.
Can you just update the look / refacing?
Refacing is a great way to update the look for less when your cabinet boxes are still solid — the specialist will look and tell you honestly whether refacing or new makes more sense.
Can you repaint / refinish cabinets?
Yes, we refinish cabinets with a durable sprayed finish for a fresh color — the specialist will go over the options and give you a free quote.
Can you fix a broken door or drawer?
We do repairs and door and drawer replacements — tell me what's going on and we'll see whether a repair or replacement is the better route, with the price first.
Do you build built-ins or shelving?
Yes, we build custom built-ins, shelving, and entertainment centers — the specialist will design it to your space and quote it free.
Do you build bathroom vanities?
We build bathroom vanities and cabinetry too — the specialist will measure and go over styles and finishes with you.
Can you add hardware or soft-close?
We install hardware and can add soft-close hinges and slides — an easy upgrade the specialist can include or do on its own.
Can you match my existing cabinets?
Matching existing cabinets is something we do — bring what details you have on the current ones and the specialist will work to blend it in.
What materials / woods do you use?
We work in a range of woods and materials and can guide you to what fits your look and budget — the specialist will bring samples to the consultation.
What's your warranty?
We stand behind our work — the specialist will go over the exact warranty on the cabinets and finish when he's there.
Do you offer financing / payment plans?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current financing and payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll grab your address and set up a free consultation.
⚠️ Safety first
- Active water leak under the sink swelling the cabinet: Let's stop the water first — if you can, shut off the valve under the sink, and clear anything stored under there. Once it's dry we'll get a specialist out to look at the cabinet.
- A wall cabinet coming loose or pulling off the wall: Please take anything heavy out of it if you safely can and keep people from underneath it — a loaded cabinet pulling off the wall can be dangerous. We'll get someone out to secure it properly.
- A tall or heavy built-in or bookcase that could tip: If it feels like it could tip, please keep kids away from it and don't climb on it until we can anchor it safely — we'll take care of that when we come out.
- Mold or musty smell in a water-damaged cabinet: If there's mold or a musty smell in a damp cabinet, try to keep the area ventilated and don't store food in there for now, and our specialist will assess it when we come out.
Know the terms
- Refacing
- Keeping the existing cabinet boxes but installing new doors, drawer fronts, and a matching veneer on the frames.

- The main body of a cabinet that the doors and drawers attach to.
- Face-frame vs. frameless
- Two cabinet styles — a front wood frame, or full-access frameless (European) design.

- Shaker / raised panel / slab
- Common door styles — from a simple flat-panel frame to a raised center or a smooth flat door.
