Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for a consultation / estimate?
The first consultation is free — we learn your vision, your lot and budget, and then give you a clear, detailed estimate before any commitment.
How much does a custom home cost / per square foot?
It really depends on the size, the finishes, and your lot, so we price from your actual plans and give you a clear detailed estimate — it's not something anyone can pin down accurately over the phone.
How long does a custom home take?
Every custom home is different, but we'll give you a realistic timeline based on your design and lot when we meet — we'd rather be honest than throw out a number that won't hold.
Do you help with the design / do you do design-build?
Yes — we offer design-build, so we can guide the design and engineering along with the construction, or work from your architect's plans. We'll figure out the best fit at the consultation.
I have land — can you build on it?
Absolutely — if you have land, that's a great start. We'll look at the lot, talk through your vision, and give you a clear estimate for free.
Do you build luxury or estate homes?
Yes — luxury and estate homes are right in our wheelhouse, with custom finishes and high-end systems. Tell us what you're picturing and we'll take it from there.
Do you do energy-efficient or smart homes?
We do — energy-efficient building and smart-home integration are things we build in when you want them. We'll go over the options at the consultation.
Do you help with financing or permits?
Yes — we coordinate the permits and plans, and we can point you toward construction financing options. We'll walk you through the whole process.
Can I make changes during the build?
Yes — that's the nature of custom. We handle changes and selections through a clear allowance and change-order process, so you always see the cost before it's built.
Do you do large additions or whole-house remodels?
We do — large additions and whole-house remodels as well as new custom homes. Let us know what you're planning and we'll set up a consultation.
What's your warranty on a new home?
We stand behind our homes — typically workmanship coverage plus longer structural coverage — and we'll go over the exact terms with you.
I have a warranty issue on a home you built
I'm glad you called — let's get that taken care of. If it's anything urgent like water or safety, tell me now; otherwise we'll get someone out to look at it.
How do I get started?
The first step is an easy one — a free consultation where we learn your vision and walk you through the whole process. Let's get that on the calendar.
Do you build in my area?
We build locally in the area — let me note where your lot or project is and we'll confirm we cover it and get you set up.
⚠️ Safety first
- Someone reports a hazard at an active job site (open excavation, equipment, kids nearby): Thanks for flagging that — please keep everyone, especially kids, away from the site for now, and we'll get our site team on it right away to make it safe.
- Gas smell or active gas leak in a finished home: Please get everyone out of the house without touching switches, and once you're outside call 911 or your gas company. After it's safe, let us know and we'll follow up on the warranty side.
- Active water leak or flooding in a home under warranty: Let's limit the damage first — if you can, shut off the main water valve, and keep clear of any water near electrical. Then we'll get someone out to look at it as a priority.
- Structural concern — sagging, major cracks, something shifting: If something structural looks like it's moving or unsafe, please keep everyone out of that area, and we'll get someone out to assess it quickly.
