Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate / to come out?
Estimates are completely free — our technician comes out, takes a look, and gives you the exact price before any work is done.
How soon / same day / emergency?
Yes — let's get you taken care of. Let me grab a couple of quick details and I'll give you the soonest two-hour window we have.
How much to clear a clog / unclog a drain?
It depends on where the blockage is and what the line needs, so the technician checks it on site and gives you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
My drain is backing up / water is coming up
I understand, that's stressful — please hold off on running water, and we'll get a technician out to clear it and get things flowing again.
Sewage is coming into my house
Okay, please keep everyone and pets away from that area and don't run any water — sewage isn't safe to be around. I'm marking this urgent and getting a technician headed your way right now.
Do you do hydro jetting?
Yes, we do hydro jetting — the technician can look at your line and let you know if that's the best approach and what it would cost.
Can you run a camera / inspect the line?
Absolutely — we run a camera down the line to see exactly what's going on, and the technician will show you what they find.
My yard floods / stays wet — can you fix drainage?
Yes, that's right up our alley — we install yard and French drainage, and the technician will look at how the water moves and give you a free estimate.
My basement takes on water — do you do sump pumps?
We do — we handle sump pumps and basement and foundation drainage, and we can get someone out to take a look and give you options.
Do you do commercial / restaurants / grease traps?
Yes, we handle commercial drains and grease traps as well as homes — just let me know a little about the property and we'll get you scheduled.
What's your warranty / guarantee?
We stand behind our work — the technician will go over the exact warranty for your job when he's there.
Do you offer financing / payment plans?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll just grab your address and get a technician headed your way.
Will this happen again / can you keep it from coming back?
Good question — once the technician sees what's going on, he'll clear it and walk you through how to keep it from coming back.
⚠️ Safety first
- Sewage backing up into the home: Please keep everyone, including pets, away from that area — backed-up sewage isn't safe to touch or breathe around. Don't run any more water anywhere in the house, and we'll get a technician out to you as fast as we can.
- Water rising near outlets, the electrical panel, or appliances: If water is getting near any outlets, the panel, or appliances, please don't step into it. If you can safely reach your breaker, shut off power to that area — and if there's any doubt at all, stay out and call your power company. We'll get someone headed your way right now.
- Water actively flooding the home: Let's stop the water first — if you can safely reach your main water shut-off valve, turn it off, then stay clear of the flooded area. I'll mark this urgent and get a technician on the way.
Know the terms
- Snake / auger
- A flexible cable machine that spins down the drain to break up and pull out a clog.
- Hydro jetting
- High-pressure water that scours the whole inside of the pipe clean; best for grease and roots.
- Sewer camera inspection
- A waterproof camera run down the line to see exactly where and what the problem is.
- Main line
- The large drain that carries the whole home's waste out to the sewer or septic; a clog here backs up everything.
- French drain
- A gravel trench with perforated pipe that collects groundwater and carries it away from the house.
- Sump pump
- A pump in a basement/crawlspace pit that pushes out water to keep the space dry.
- Backwater valve
- A one-way valve that stops city sewage from flowing back into the home during heavy rain.
