Do you charge for an estimate / to come out?
Estimates are completely free — we come look at the site and give you the exact price before any work is done.
How much does excavation / grading cost?
Earthwork depends a lot on the soil, the slope, and access, so we look at the site and give you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
How soon can you start / come look?
We schedule site visits quickly — I'll set up a time for us to come look, and we can talk timeline once we see the project.
Do you call 811 / handle utility locates?
Yes — locating buried utilities before we dig is a standard part of every job, so it's done safely.
Can you dig a foundation / basement?
Absolutely — we do foundation and basement excavation to your plans. Tell me a little about the project and we'll come take a look.
Can you clear land / trees / brush?
Yes, land clearing is one of our services — we can look at the area and give you a free estimate on getting it cleared.
My yard doesn't drain / floods — can you grade it?
We can — grading the ground to move water away from the house is common work for us, and the estimate is free.
Can you dig a trench for a utility / water / electric line?
Yes — we trench for water, sewer, gas, electric, and drainage lines, and we locate everything first so it's done safely.
Do you haul dirt / bring in fill?
We do — we can haul off dirt or bring in fill and topsoil. Let me know what you're after and we'll get you an estimate.
Do you do septic or pond excavation?
Yes, we handle septic, pond, and pool excavation — the crew will look at the site and give you the exact price up front.
Do you do commercial / builder work?
We do — we work with builders and on commercial sites as well as homeowners. Tell me about the project and we'll set up a visit.
Will you get equipment into a tight space?
Often, yes — we have equipment sized for tight spaces, and we'll check the access when we come look so we bring the right machines.
Do you handle permits?
We're familiar with permits and erosion control for earthwork — we'll go over what your project needs when we see the site.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll just grab your address and set up a site visit.
⚠️ Safety first
- Gas smell near a dig, or a gas line struck/exposed: Please stop all digging, get everyone away from the area, and don't start any engines or use anything that could spark. From a safe distance, call 911 and the gas company right away. Once it's safe, we'll help with the rest.
- An electric line is struck or exposed, or equipment contacts a power line: Please keep everyone well back and don't touch the equipment or the line — if anyone is on the machine, they should stay put until the power company confirms it's safe. Call 911 and your power company right now.
- A trench or dug wall is caving in, or someone is in a collapsing trench: If anyone is caught in a trench, call 911 immediately — please don't jump in after them, since a second collapse is the biggest danger to rescuers. Keep everyone back from the edge until help arrives.
- An open excavation is filling with water or the ground is unstable: Please keep everyone away from the edge — saturated ground and open pits can give way. Don't go down into it, and we'll get someone out to make it safe.
