Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates are free — we look at the work and give you the exact price up front before we start.
How much do you charge / hourly?
It depends on the job — some things we price per task and some by the hour — and we always give you the exact price before starting. There's usually a small minimum for a visit, which we'll tell you up front.
Do you have a minimum / is it worth it for one small thing?
We do have a small minimum for a visit, so a lot of folks save up a few little things for one trip and we knock them all out together.
How soon can you come?
We can usually get out within a day or two, sometimes same day for something quick — let's get you on the schedule.
Can you do a whole list of things in one visit?
That's our favorite kind of job — run me through the list and we'll come out and knock it all out in one visit.
Do you do drywall / patch holes?
Yes — we patch holes and cracks and can texture and paint to blend it in. We'll give you a free exact price after a look.
Do you mount TVs / assemble furniture / hang things?
Absolutely — TV mounting, furniture assembly, and hanging shelves and pictures are all everyday jobs for us.
Do you do small plumbing like faucets and toilets?
Yes — we handle faucet and toilet swaps and repairs and other small plumbing fixes. For bigger plumbing we'll let you know if it needs a licensed plumber.
Do you replace light fixtures / ceiling fans?
We do — swapping out light fixtures and ceiling fans is a common one. For anything needing new wiring or a panel, we'll point you to a licensed electrician.
Do you paint?
Yes — we do interior painting and touch-ups, and we can price a room or a whole list for you.
Do you fix doors, trim, decks, or fences?
We handle all of that — sticking doors, trim and molding, and deck and fence repairs. We'll take a look and give you the exact price.
Do you do electrical or gas work?
We do simple like-for-like fixture swaps, but new wiring, panels, and any gas work we leave to a licensed specialist for safety — we'll point you the right way if that's what it needs.
Do you work on rentals / for landlords / businesses?
Yes — we do a lot of work for homeowners, landlords, and small businesses. Just let us know the list and we'll take care of it.
Do you guarantee your work?
We stand behind our work — the tech will go over exactly what's guaranteed on your job.
⚠️ Safety first
- Water actively leaking or flooding: Let's stop the water first — if you can, turn off the shut-off valve for that fixture, or the main water valve, and keep towels down. Then we'll get someone out to take care of it.
- Sparks, burning smell, or a hot outlet/switch: Please don't use that outlet or switch — shut off that circuit at the breaker if you can safely reach it, and keep away from it. We'll get someone out, and if you see smoke or fire, call 911 first.
- Caller mentions a gas line, gas appliance hookup, or gas smell: We leave gas lines to a licensed gas specialist for safety. And if you smell gas at all, please leave the house and call 911 or your gas company first.
- Job involves a tall ladder or roof the caller wants to attempt: For the high-up work, let our crew handle it — ladder falls are a common way people get hurt, and we're set up to do it safely.
