Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates are free — we come out, look at your home and network, talk through what you want, and give you the exact price up front before any work.
How much does a smart home / system cost?
It really depends on what you want tied together and how many devices, so we take a look and give you the exact price for free — it's not something we can pin down over the phone.
How soon can you come?
We can usually get out to look and plan pretty quickly, and we'll give you a timeline right then — let's get you on the schedule.
Do you install cameras / video doorbells?
Yes — we install cameras and video doorbells and set them up so they're reliable and secure. We'll take a look and give you a free exact price.
Can you fix my Wi-Fi / dead spots?
Definitely — a strong network is the foundation of a smart home, so we design Wi-Fi that reaches every room. We'll come look and quote it for free.
Do you do home theaters / whole-house audio?
Yes — home theaters and whole-house audio are a big part of what we do, from a single room to sound throughout the house.
Do you automate lights, shades, and thermostats?
We do — smart lighting, motorized shades, and thermostats, all set up to work together with scenes and voice control. We'll design it around what you want.
My smart home / system stopped working
We can help with that — these systems have a few moving parts, so we'll come out, get it talking together again, and go over the price first.
Do you work with a specific ecosystem / brand?
Yes — we work across the major ecosystems and voice assistants, and we'll help pick what fits your home best so everything plays together.
Can you add to a system I already have?
Absolutely — we can build on what you already have and tie it together better. We'll take a look and give you the options and an exact price.
Do you do businesses / offices?
Yes — we do both homes and businesses, from conference rooms to whole-office systems. Just let us know what you need.
Is it secure / private? Who can see my cameras?
That's an important question — we set things up with strong passwords and secure settings so your cameras and data stay private, and the installer will walk you through it.
Do you handle the electrical wiring?
We handle the wiring for smart devices safely, and for any brand-new circuits or panel work we bring in a licensed electrician — we can coordinate all of it for you.
What's your warranty / do you offer support after?
We stand behind our work and can set you up with ongoing support so it keeps running smoothly — the installer will go over the exact coverage.
⚠️ Safety first
- Sparking, buzzing, or a hot outlet or switch during/after a device swap: Please don't use that switch or outlet — turn off that circuit at the breaker if you can safely reach it, and keep clear. We'll get someone out, and if you see smoke or fire, call 911 first.
- Caller wants major new wiring, a new circuit, or panel work: For the smart devices we handle the wiring safely, but any brand-new circuits or panel work we bring in a licensed electrician for — that's the safe way to do it, and we can coordinate that for you.
- Locked out because a smart lock failed: I'm sorry, that's frustrating. If you have a physical key or another way in, use that for now, and we'll get someone out to get the lock working right — never force a door in a way that could hurt you.
- Install requires a tall ladder or roof access the caller wants to do: For anything up high, like a roofline camera, let our installer handle it — we're set up to do that safely rather than risk a ladder fall.
