Common problems we handle

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for an estimate or measurement?
Estimates and the in-home measurement are free — since custom glass is made to order, we measure precisely and give you the exact price before ordering anything.
How soon can you come / how long for a new door?
Repairs we can often schedule quickly. For a new custom door, the glass is made to order, so it usually takes a couple of weeks after we measure — the technician will give you a firm timeline.
How much for a new shower door or enclosure?
It depends on the size, the glass, and framed versus frameless, so we do a free in-home measurement and give you the exact price before ordering. No surprises.
My sliding door won't slide or came off the track
No problem — that's a common repair. The technician will take a look and get it sliding smoothly again, and the estimate is free.
My shower door leaks water onto the floor
We can help with that — the technician will check the door and take care of what's letting water out, and go over the price with you first.
The glass is foggy or cloudy and won't clean
That's a common one — the technician will look at the glass and let you know the best options to get it clear again, whether that's treatment or new glass.
Do you do frameless glass showers?
Yes, frameless enclosures are one of our specialties — we'll measure, help you choose the glass and hardware, and give you an exact quote for free.
Can you just replace one glass panel?
Often, yes — the technician will measure and let you know about replacing just the panel versus other options, and go over pricing before anything is ordered.
Do you do bathtub doors or steam showers?
Yes, we install tub doors and steam-shower enclosures too. Let me get a few details and set up a free measurement for you.
My glass cracked or shattered
I'm sorry that happened — please keep everyone away from the glass and don't use that door. We'll send someone out to make it safe and take care of it.
Do you replace rollers, seals, or handles?
Absolutely — rollers, seals, sweeps, hinges, and handles are all things we repair and replace. The technician will match the parts and finish for you.
Do you do commercial jobs?
Yes, we handle commercial work like gyms, hotels, and offices as well as homes. Let me get your info and set it up.
What's your warranty?
We stand behind our work — the technician will go over the exact warranty on your glass and hardware, since it depends on what you choose.
Do you offer financing / payment options?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll grab your address and set up a free in-home measurement.

⚠️ Safety first

Know the terms

Frameless
Thick tempered glass with no metal frame around it — held by hinges and clips; the premium look.
Framed
A shower door with metal around all edges and thinner glass; the economical option.
Bypass / sliding door
Two panels that slide past each other on rollers and a track, common over tubs.
Tempered glass
Heat-treated safety glass required for showers; it can't be cut after tempering, so glass is made to order.
Sweep / seal
The clear strip along the bottom or side of the door that keeps water inside the shower.
Header / U-channel
The metal bar or channel at the top that supports and aligns the glass.
Hard-water etching
Mineral cloudiness bonded into the glass surface; often permanent, so it may need new glass rather than cleaning.
