Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for an estimate / to come out?
Estimates on a new unit are free — the technician looks at everything on site and gives you the exact price before any work is done.
How soon / same day / emergency?
Yes — let's get you taken care of. Let me grab a couple of quick details and I'll give you the soonest two-hour window we have.
How much for a new water heater / to replace it?
It depends on the type and size of the unit and the install, so the technician looks at it and gives you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
I have no hot water
I'm sorry, that's a hassle — the technician will get it checked out and get your hot water back, and he'll give you the price before any work.
My water heater is leaking
Thanks for calling — if you can safely reach the shutoff valve on top of the heater, turn it off to limit the water, and we'll get a technician out to you fast to take care of it.
Should I repair or replace it?
The technician will look at the age and condition and give you an honest recommendation on repair versus replacement, along with the exact price for each option.
Do you do tankless water heaters?
Yes, we install and service tankless water heaters, and the technician can walk you through whether one's a good fit for your home and give you a free quote.
Do you work on gas and electric?
Yes, we handle gas, electric, propane, and hybrid units — the technician works on all of them.
My water is rusty or smells like rotten eggs
The technician will check the unit and the water and take care of it — no need to figure out the cause yourself, and he'll give you the price up front.
It runs out of hot water too fast
That's a common thing to call about — the technician will check it over and go over your options to get you plenty of hot water again.
What size or brand should I get?
The technician will size it right for your household and go over good brand options with you on site — we work with all the major brands.
Do you do commercial water heaters?
Yes, we handle commercial and residential water heaters — homes and businesses both.
What's your warranty?
We stand behind our work, and units come with a manufacturer warranty — the technician will go over the exact coverage on your unit and our labor.
Do you offer financing / payment plans?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment and financing options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll grab your address and get a technician headed your way.
I smell gas near the water heater
Please leave the house right now without touching any switches, and call your gas company or 911 once you're outside — your safety comes first, and we'll help with the heater after.

⚠️ Safety first

Know the terms

Tank vs. tankless
A tank stores and keeps a supply of hot water; tankless heats water on demand as it flows and doesn't run out.
Anode rod
A metal rod inside the tank that corrodes on purpose to protect the tank from rusting; replaceable.
T&P relief valve
The temperature-and-pressure safety valve that releases if the tank gets too hot or over-pressurized.
Expansion tank
A small tank that absorbs pressure as water heats and expands, required on many closed plumbing systems.
Sediment / flush
Mineral buildup that settles in the tank bottom; a flush clears it and quiets the popping sound.
Thermocouple / ignition
The part on a gas unit that senses the pilot flame and lets the gas valve stay open.
