Common problems we handle

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates are free — the welder looks at the job and gives you the exact price before any work. For mobile jobs there may be a trip charge, which we'll always tell you up front.
Do you come to me / mobile welding?
Yes, we offer mobile welding and come to you for repairs that can't move, like gates, railings, trailers, and equipment. We can also do shop work if you can bring the piece in.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the metal, the size of the job, and whether we come to you, so the welder looks at it and gives you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
How soon can you come / emergency?
We can usually schedule quickly and handle urgent repairs — I'll grab the details and get you on the schedule as soon as possible.
Do you weld aluminum?
Yes, we weld aluminum — that's usually a TIG job, and the welder will take a look and give you the exact price up front.
Do you weld stainless steel?
Yes, we do stainless steel welding with the right filler and technique — the welder can look at the piece and quote it for free.
Can you weld cast iron / pot metal?
Sometimes — those metals are tricky and don't always weld, so the welder will take a look and tell you honestly whether it's repairable before you commit to anything.
Can you fix my trailer / hitch?
Yes, we do trailer repair — frames, hitches, ramps, and cracks. Please don't tow it if it feels unsafe, and we'll get it fixed properly.
Can you repair or build a railing / gate / fence?
Absolutely — we repair and fabricate railings, gates, and fences. The welder can come measure and give you a free quote.
Do you do custom fabrication?
Yes, we do custom metal fabrication from your measurements or drawings — railings, frames, brackets, and one-off pieces. Let's go over what you have in mind.
Do you have certified welders for structural work?
Yes, we match a qualified welder to the job, including certified work when a project needs it — just let me know if it's permitted or inspected so we bring the right person.
Do you do commercial / industrial jobs?
Yes, we handle commercial and industrial welding as well as residential — repairs, fabrication, and on-site work.
Do you guarantee your welds?
We stand behind our work — the welder will go over the guarantee on the repair or fabrication when he sees the job.
Do you offer financing / payment?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area for mobile work — I'll grab your location and get you on the schedule.

Stick welding (SMAW)
A rugged process that works outdoors and on thick or dirty steel.
Mobile welding
Bringing a truck-mounted welder and generator to the job for repairs that can't move.
